Our Story

Why SoLu exists

SoLu is named after our two children. Sofia — the middle name of our 6-year-old daughter Emilia. And Lucas — the middle name of our 1.5-year-old son Emet.

Emilia has always been our storyteller. She loves characters, voices, acting — she doesn't just want to hear a story, she wants to be in it. Every evening we'd sit together and create stories about whoever she'd dreamed up that day. A princess who could talk to horses. A dragon who was afraid of fire. A robot who wanted to learn ballet.

Both children are growing up bilingual. We wanted stories that lived in both their worlds — English and Spanish, without having to choose.
